After a stint with the University of Louisiana at Lafayette Coach Tidwell started his high school coaching career at Cathedral Carmel High School in Lafayette, LA. Upon the creation of St. Thomas More Coach Tidwell moved to the new school and has been a part of its fabric ever since. He has been Defensive Coordinator for 30+ years and has guided a number of record breaking defensive units. He works specifically with Inside Linebackers and does a great job year in and year out. Many coaches throughout the state have trained and studied with Terry in order to further develop their own careers. “Terry Tidwell may have the best feel in game than any other coach I have ever coached against. His guys are always in the right spot and always seem to know what is coming next. It is a testament to his teaching/coaching ability that year in and year out STM will be solid on defense” (opposing coach).
Shane Savoie
Offensive Coordinator/
Quarterbacks
Coach Savoie has been through the ranks at STM as a player and now as a coach. As an All District Quarterback his playing career continued into college as he played on two Conference Championship Teams (McNeese State University '95, Arkansas Tech University '99). He began his coaching career at Farmington High School (Farmington, AR) as a QB Coach and eventually an Offensive Coordinator. After four season he received a call from Coach Hightower to return home and has been here for 10+ years. Shane has coached multiple positions at STM but has spent most of his time with Quarterback Development. In his tenure at STM his QBs have broke every school record and guided the team to multiple championships. Shane is also a C3 certified coach for National Football Academies where he trains in camps and privately . He has trained hundreds of QBs nationally in the past 10 years.
David LeBlanc

Offensive Line
David Leblanc has coached for St. Thomas More since 1995. Leblanc graduated from Acadiana High School in Lafayette, LA. He earned his undergraduate degree from the University of Southwestern Louisiana. Leblanc is Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist (CSCS) by the National Strength and Conditioning Association.
Lance Strother
Wide Receivers
Lance Strother has coached for St. Thomas More since 2003. Strother is a St. Thomas More alumni from the class of 1996. He went on to play for Arkansas Tech from 1996-2000. He earned his undergraduate degree from Arkansas Tech University in 2000 and a master’s degree from Felician University. Strother is the co-owner and co-inventor of Great Catch and Scientific Sports Solutions.
Marty Cannon
Defensive Ends
Marty Cannon has coached for St. Thomas More since 2013. Cannon is a St. Thomas More alumni from the class of 1993. He went on to play for Naval Academy Preparatory School from 1993-1994 and the University of Louisiana at Lafayette from 1994-1997. He earned his undergraduate and masters degree from the University of Louisiana Lafayette.
Nick Cortese
Outside Linebackers
Nick Cortese has coached for St. Thomas More since 2013. Cortese is a St. Thomas More alumni from the class of 2009. He earned his undergraduate degree from Milsaps College in 2013. Cortese is also the assistant basketball coach for St. Thomas More.
Corey Arceneaux
Defensive Tackles
Corey Arceneaux has coached for St. Thomas More since 1999. Arceneaux graduated from Acadiana High School in Lafayette, LA. He earned his undergraduate degree from the University of Southwestern Louisiana.
Broc Prejean
Running Backs
Broc Prejean has coached for St. Thomas More since 2006. Prejean graduated from Vermillion Catholic High School in Abbeville, LA. He earned his undergraduate degree from the University of Louisiana at Lafayette. Prejean is also the assistant baseball coach at St. Thomas More, during which he coached the 2014 State Championship team.
Jon Pry
Defensive Backs
Jonathan Pry has coached for St. Thomas More since 2013. Prior to STM, he was a graduate assistant for Auburn University from 2004-2005. Pry has also coached at South Caroline State University (2006-2007), James Island Charter High School (2009-2011), and Benedict College (2012). Pry graduated from Stroudsburg High School in Stroudsburg, PA. He went on to play for East Stroudsburg University in Stroudsburg, PA. He earned his undergraduate degree from East Stroudsburg in 2004.
Jacob Rodrigue
Tight Ends
Jacob Rodrigue has coached for St. Thomas More since 2016. Rodrigue graduated from E.D. White Catholic High School in Thibodeaux, LA. He earned his undergraduate degree from Nicholls State University. Rodrigue is also joining the baseball coaching staff for St. Thomas More this upcoming season.
